When I first came to ISKCON and read the book The Science of Self Realisation I was so impressed by the reality of trying to be a Lord of all that I survey and the futility of it that I wrote this small limerick spontaneously. Today as I rummaged through my old diary I found this verse and found it still relevant to me ! Here it is :
I , me , and Mine !
Here he ‘ ll sit and pine ,
Yesterday in a womb;
Tomorrow in a tomb;
Still mine mine! . . this swine !!!
That day when we recognise that ‘matter does not matter’ and that we as spirit souls with Krishna, is all that matters, we have dealt with life meaningfully. Srila Prabhupada’s crystal clear detail on this topic fascinates anyone with simple profound realisations on his existential situation and the clear mandate of a successful human being. Try it .
